Role: Character Art Intern

Team Size: Around 100 members

Organization: Obsidian Entertainment

 

Worked on the game "The Outer Worlds" with the character art team creating tone and key maps, modeling props and armor, and polishing character / face models. Primarily worked in Unreal Engine 4, Substance Painter, Maya, and Photoshop.

Takeaways:

Although the internship was largely for tech art and character / prop modeling, it was great work experience for understanding the professional game development pipeline with a large interdisciplinary team in an office setting.
